How to Fit an Adult Mask on Children & Toddlers (4 Easy Steps)
Wash hands thoroughly. Fold the adult 3-ply mask in half lengthwise with the colored outer side facing outward and the nose bridge wire at the top.
Tie a simple overhand knot in both elastic earloops as close to the fabric corners of the mask as possible. This shortens the loop to match a pediatric facial profile.
Using your thumbs, fold the excess pleat fabric inward at each side of the mask where the knot was tied. This collapses the side opening to prevent any unfiltered airflow.
Place the mask over your child's nose and chin. Firmly contour the embedded malleable nose wire around their nasal bridge to eliminate fogging and air escape.
