In a dominant performance that underscored his status as an absolute titan of the sport, Dharma captured a staggering 8 gold medals in a single day, shattering his previous personal record of five golds in one show.
Dharma’s victory was a masterclass in professional discipline, efficiency, and sheer consistency. Despite undergoing the shortest preparation window of his entire 24-year athletic career—a grueling, hyper-focused four-week "blitz"—he successfully transformed his physique from 91.5kg at 12% body fat down to a shredded, razor-sharp 83kg at a mere 5% body fat on stage.
"Staying consistent all along with my training and diet did give me quite a headstart! I worked really hard over those 4 weeks, and I'm really happy with the outcome. This was the most number of golds I ever won at a single show, and also within an entire year!" - says Danie “The Destroyer” Dharma.

Driven to Succeed: How Cross-Border Mobility Fuels a Grassroots Champion
Unlike athletes in mainstream sports, Singaporean competitive bodybuilders navigate their journeys without a formalised national sporting association or government funding—making every milestone entirely self-funded. Powered by his aging, 12-year-old manual car, Perodua Kelisa (famously known as "The Last SG Perodua"), Danie’s ability to drive has given him the cross-border agility to maximize his time and seize opportunities in both Singapore and Malaysia. When a recent wear-and-tear breakdown forced him onto a grueling multi-transit commute just to get to work, it underscored how critical reliable mobility is to actualizing his sporting goals.
“I love going on long drives! I love driving itself, I drive a manual transmission Perodua Kelisa as I love the feel a manual, hardy vehicle gives as compared to something smooth and easy. You just feel a kind of connection to the vehicle as you drive! Long drives provide a means to clear my mind as I watch the scenery pass. I had some modelling opportunities in KL, and the occasion mini vacations there, and I always drive from Singapore in my little Kelisa. Those were some of the best drives I have ever had!’ says Danie “The Destroyer” Dharma.

The Next Leg: The Ultimate Pursuit of the IFBB Pro Card
Propelled by the historic 8-gold sweep, Dharma's immediate focus has shifted entirely to securing his status as an elite IFBB Pro. In the world of bodybuilding, earning an IFBB Pro Card is a legendary status achieved by less than 1% of competitive athletes globally. It transforms an amateur competitor into a recognized professional, unlocking entry to elite global stages like the Mr. Olympia. Winning a Pro Card requires an athlete to not just win their division, but to beat out every other top-tier champion from around the world in a brutal, high-stakes "Overall" showdown where only one solitary card is awarded.
With a free entry into the upcoming Kuala Lumpur Pro Qualifier, Dharma's road map for the latter half of the year centers on capturing this elusive status on international stages, targeting the Hong Kong Pro Qualifier in July or the Kuala Lumpur Pro Qualifier in October. Navigating this elite international circuit independently requires self-funded travel, registration, and specialized peak-week logistics.
As "The Destroyer" prepares to fly the Singapore flag in his bid to join the world's bodybuilding elite, his journey offers an authentic platform for forward-thinking brands and automotive partners looking to align with a proven champion defined by world-class discipline and relentless drive.
